1 in 3 mammals around the world have been entangled in some sort of ocean debris. Not only have they been entangled in it but they have also eaten it. Some sea turtles mistake floating plastic bags for jellyfish and they try to eat them! Along with this, over 90% of sea birds have a piece or more of plastic in their stomachs.

Plastic will outweigh all the fish in the ocean by 2050.

Each year we throw 17.6 billion pounds of plastic into the ocean. That is equal to 57,000 blue whales.
